"Study to show thyself approved". This is the instruction given to us by the Apostle Paul. This is what we strive to do in the Saturday evening Adult Bible Fellowship class at Southland Christian Church. Our class meets at 6:45pm in the new building, classroom E-115, and through diligent Bible Study, we seek not only to grow in Christ, but to glorify Christ in becoming ever more mature in His Word. “Principles to Ponder”
The Book of Zechariah
(Chap. 2-3)
1. Nations are reflected in their leaders. Like people like priest. When a nation has a poor leader it is an indication of the nation's morality.
2.God not only subtracts our sin but adds His righteousness.
3. The nation which does not remember the past will probably repeat the past. It happened with Israel.
4.Christ is the 'stone' which crushes those who refuse His salvation, and will someday crush the world system (Daniel). He is the stone with 7 eyes which oversees all the events of history. History is His-story.
5.Experience is not always the best teacher. Sometimes it gives the test first--and teachers the lesson later..
6.God never forgets His promises. No matter how long the delay, He will remember.
7. We must let Scripture interpret Scripture. To interpret it using our own system results in mass confusion!
